Are you Up to the Challenge?

Come join the fun as we host the first ‘Sweet Spot Slam’ training-paddle tournament, with CASH PRIZES to first place teams!

  1. Date: Friday and Saturday, November 22-23, 2024.

  2. Divisions: Recreation (Saturday, 8:00 am), Intermediate (Saturday, 4:00 pm), Advanced (Friday, 5:00 pm), and Pro (Saturday 12:00 pm). The winners of the Advanced division automatically qualify for entry in our Pro division, featuring PPA, MLP, NLP pros.

  3. Benefits: Sweet spot training paddles help players improve hand-eye coordination, swing accuracy, and overall shot consistency. Because it is more challenging to make solid contact with the ball on a smaller paddle head, players who train with ‘sweet-spot training paddles’ typically develop better technique through greater precision and shot placement.

  4. Sign-ups: Use the yellow link to sign-up for the tournament. Each player will receive one (1) sweet-spot training-paddle with their registration. Paddles can be picked up at Royal Court Pickleball Club after registration is completed, allowing practice with the paddle prior to the tournament. Yes, we have professional pickleball players coming to test their mettle against each other with the sweet spot training-paddles!

  5. Format: Pool play and single elimination tournament

  6. Questions: For additional information and questions, please reach out to shannon@royalcourtpb.com

***All Games Will Be Played Using the Sweet Spot Training Paddles.

Sweet Spot Paddles used by Pros

Our local PPA pros were testing out the Royal Court sweet spot mini-paddles one afternoon while training. Kudos to Todd Fought and Austin Reed for an exciting and memorable point using their Royal Court Sweet Spot Mini Training Paddle against Chuck Taylor and Spencer Smith using their PPA paddles (Joola and Vatic Pro respectively).
